Fox City has had two local cable access television stations: KFOX1 and KIDSFOX-2. The second channel, KIDSFOX-2, is unusual in that its programming content, camera, sound, lighting and editing, writing, and direction are produced by 30 to 40 children selected each year. Historically, these children have ranged in age from nine to fourteen; however, in 2000 the first high school-aged crew was introduced.

The city is served by two local newspapers: The Fox City Star, with a circulation of approximately 5,300, and The Fox Times with a circulation of around 35,000. Also popular is The Foxmoore Gazette, a regional newspaper.
